Our children grow so fast.....
Time is a thief....
Enjoy them now.....
Have these words come out of your mouth or have you heard this before? It’s true I’m sad to say. My three little angels are now teens and preteens. I do love the new humans they are growing into. Thankfully, I have been capturing their photos ever since they were born. Looking at their baby and toddler photos always brings so much joy!
I am happy to say that I was always snapping photos, but now so many are on a cell phone.
I know I am not alone. And that is the only thing that I regret, is that some of my favorite captures are on a cell phone, which will not print in high resolution.
Have no regrets, they say.....
I must admit, I really really wish I had discovered the art of Heirloom Portraits when my children were younger. I had always know about them, as I am a huge fan of antique shopping and you always stumble upon a group of black and white photos with the children wearing large collars and looking serious in theirt portrait. Once I moved South and discovered these are "still a thing," a Southern Tradition, my heart melted. I had to try it.
I reached out to a couple of Mamas in my church to offer their children as models for me.
I was hooked.
Once I started photographing heirloom portraits here in Charleston and Summerville, SC I immediately fell in love. These portraits capture the sweet innocence of childhood and are meant to be displayed in the home. So many times in the past, I sent the gallery of digital files to clients who would come back a year later and tell me they still had not printed their photos. With these white/color or black and white vignetted heirloom portraits, I am here to help you print. Whether it is a table-top frame or mat, or a three-image panel frame for your wall, I am here to help get that for you.
I must admit, i am a nuatural when it comes to heirloom portraits here in Charleston, SC. I have been photographing babies and children for 10 years and children are naturally drawn to me. The process is also fairly quick, so children do not have melt downs and do not have time to "lose interest." I love that I am able to capture both serious and smiling expressions.
Parents are able to choose their favorite images for print. I am always available to help them along the way, of course.
Once your images are chosen, I edit each image by hand, artwork is ordered. Delivering the finished product always brings such joy!
Feel free to reach out and ask me any questions about coming in for an Heirloom Portrait Session,
XO- Angie
